Lowering. Do you DIY?

Gonna be lowering my stock 2003 G35 sedan with sport suspension in the near future using unrevised 350z springs. I've read a couple DIY's on the subject, but it looks to be a long, hard task. How many of you attempt this yourself? If you have a shop do it,how much have you been charged for the labor?

i did my coupe by myself. the rears took a matter of 5 minutes. the front took a long *** time. you can remove the strut yourself and have a shop put it back on. when i put my oem back on i had a shop do it for the fronts only. and i took in the struts to them instead of the whole car. they charged about 40 dollars.

do it yourself it's easy. took me 2 hours for all four corners. NOBODY is touching my car. If it's your first, just take your time and double check everything.

yea its pretty easy, go to autozone and rent a strut spring compressor and go from there. Front will take some time, but Rears are easy

I've done my G and several other cars with all hand tools. It's easy.

i done mine, the whole job took me about two hours. The rear are simple but the front one, if you don't take it to the shop then you would have to rent spring compressor from Autozone. but its not that hard.

Done it, took me about 4 hours total but I am really freakin' slow (I could never make any money as a mechanic). It wasn't that bad. If you have not seen this DIY this is one I used:

Do it yourself, and like everyone has said take your time. Its a fairly easy job just takes some time and you need a spring compressor.

4 hours doesn't seem that bad. One DIY I read, said it took him 7 hours! I think I'll save some dough and try it myself.

Did mine myself. However, it took A LOT longer than 2-4 hours for me LOL. It's crazy easy. Just about anyone can do with a few basic hand tools. Air tools make things easier of course.

I did it myself, I would advise you do it yourself, Because you learn things instead of always having to call someone to do it or bringin it to a shop.. Saves you the trouble

I did mine myself twice. First went from 03 non-Sport to 03-Sport, then from 03-Sport to revised 350Z. Since the springs and struts were already assembled, the fronts didn't require a compressor.

The first time took me like 10 hours. The second time, more like 6. But, I wasn't in a hurry.

If you feel up to it, it's a rewarding thing to DIY.

I bought unrevised 350z springs today. Woo-hoo! Looks like I'm committed to lowering, but I'm still deciding if I want to tackle it myself. Decisions, decisions...
