brake and wheel PROBLEM - HELP
Friday I got my 20s installed and then I drove it approximately 250 miles, but then today when I start driving another 100 miles (made it), but the brake is having issues. I already have the tire light that is staying on telling me that it has low pressure.
What the problem is that I hit the brakes, but it doesnt seem to have much effect like it used to. I have to hit it, then hit it again for some more power, and I have to keep pumping to stop. Its like the ABS has disappeared or something (i dont know). What do I do??? Someone please help because I need to drive this thing back on Tuesday for another 100 miles, and there is no infiniti dealership for 100s of miles. The car only has 2400 miles on it, so it can't be that the brakes have gone bad. Its the 06 so no brembos. Can't think of anything else that might be useful to help figure my problem.

If you have to pump your brakes then it sounds like you got air in your brake lines. Can you be absolutely certain that your brake lines were not disconnected from the caliper for some reason. I dont know why a tire installer would do that, but I can't think of any other reason you would have to pump them up.
Unless the overall tire diameter is larger than your previous combo, the new rims will only make the braking harder because of their most likely increased weight of the weel/tire.
So if you just have to push a little harder on the brakes, that could be normal, but if you have to pump them to stop the car something is wrong. If you are stopped with the car on, the pedal doesnt go all the way to the floor does it?
