Not sure what most people run but you will want to base your choice on what you want your car to do. There are many coilovers out there for the G and each one will make your car feel and drive differently. What kind of ride quality and expectations do you have for your car by adding coilovers?

You should now why your are getting coilovers. Track, dailydriving, drift spec and more...

Almost every brand has two different specs and most are good products. You should be able to do a search and find a lot of info on this subject.

Talking coilover question

What would be a good setup for daily driving with occasional trips to the track?

You found someone in North America that actually has the RSR I-shock on hand? Word has it that the Companies products are next to impossible to get ahold of right now.

Of the 3 Tein far outnumbers Jic as far as users go. Doesn't mean any of them have what's best for you and what you want out of them. Lot's of choices, they don't all measure up, be very carefull.

tien is quite popular.

cs for street and comfort, flex for sheer performance.

Try the HKS Hipermax RS. I drove my friends Z and he works over at HKS and his suspension feels very firm and sporty. It actually improved the ride quality of the Z. HKS discontinued the Hipermax II and superceded it to the Hipermax RS because people complained that it was too stiff. The RS should definiltey out perform the stock suspension on the track as well as autoxross.

I have the tein basics and it felt almost like the stock sports suspension. I went this route because it was cheaper and i only wanted a drop just for dailiy driving.

go to: http://www.tein.com/badamp.html
The Basics have 504 lb springs which are firm but have a decent street ride. The height is adjustable, the shock valving is not. Good for the street, ok for road course track events.
Check Megan Racing for a similarly priced coilover that has adjustable shocks.
KKontrol also, but can't speak for the quality.

All will fit. If one wanted to split hairs, a few are R&D'd specific to the coupe(spring rates and valving), HKS LS+ come to mind most.
