I LOVE the stock G brakes

Today, not once, but twice I was almost in an accident in my G. The first time I was driving through the CSUF campus and some person in a suv(on the right) trys to pull infront of me but thanks to my Ninja reflexes I stopped within 5 feet of her car.

The second time I was driving down Imperial (for those in OC) and some person (on the left) comes flying accross the lane to my left into my lane, almost hitting me, and then into the right lane. She was so close that when I hit my brakes I wasn't sure if I had scratched her at all, so I took a picture of her license plate until I could check.

Both times my tires screeched and my ABS kicked in

I love the G, anybody have any other brake saving life stories?

I was driving to school the other day on a 2 lane road at around 50 mph. It was 8am and I was half awake at the time. I didn't realize the light was red and I saw a lot of cars stopped at the light. My brain finally turned on and I slammed my brakes as hard as I could. ABS kicked in and my tires screeched like crazy and I stopped about a couple feet behind the car in front.

Pretty good for stock brakes I'd say. They have saved me many times before.

driving 80 on the freeway and some FX35 pulled right infront of me and both lanes are not free for me to swerve. FX must have been doing about 40 or so. I slammed on my brakes, without knowing i was gonna make it, and my abs and stuff kicked in, my neck got pulled forward and the first aid kit storage came down. I stopped sooner than i thought.

Our cars stop as fast as the C6 vette, Porsche cayman and cars in that league. The difference is in fade resistance, excluding brembos.

A couple times on the highway I have come into a sudden jam and have had to apply the brakes harder than I would like. Twice the car in back of me had no way of stopping, and the cars flew by me on the driver side trying to stop. We really need to consider how fast these things can stop especially when there are people behind you.

You'll be singing a different tune when you have to have them replaced ever 15,000 miles.

Don't we stop 70-0 in 160ft or something? Its really high up there compared to alot of cars way mroe $$ than us too.

I don't like G's breaks.
After my brothers Lexus 470 it feels like my G has no breaks at all.
And that is one heavy car.

Really no brakes at all? you should get your brakes checked...everytime i drive i bearly need to touch the brake to get it to slow down...when i see a red traffic light ahead i just let the weight of my foot onto the pedel and its slows and stops real fast. But ive never gotten to drive a lexus 470 yet but yea those are some heavy cars.
