slamming my G soon (picked up 07G3coupe yesterday and my Tein comes next wed), Tein SDF and ordered new springs on them with less compression to go as low as possible..im guessing going to be around 3.6" drop front 3.4" rear.. surely be hitting stuff on level ground like the restof the cars below. florida roads are awesome and i always ride everything dumped because its not worth being high and not hitting stuff. worst case u eat a hole thru the cat and need a new front bumper..

heres one of my shop cars (TL)

my s2k

and my old civic

Doesn't look like any of those are lower than this local CB G35c. Yes, it's on bags, and no he doesn't drive it at this height. Still, it's crazy low to the ground, if you consider that it has no body kit at all.

A pic from a huge Nissan meet last month:

i dont think bags should count for max drop because their not driven that low.. whereas on coilovers the driver drives at that height daily.. and it actually handles well.

What makes you automatically think that coilovers set at or near their lowest setting, with very little spring travel, would "handle well?"

Exactly, some air suspensions nowadays are very high tech, and can actually perform better than a spring suspension can because rates can be adjusted dynamically

triple perch suspension can be set low and still has full shock /spring travel.

also triple perch can be corner balanced at whichever height you choose.

i dont think air can be cornerbalanced at any height and your shock on air doesnt have full travel at bottom height... the shock is stationary and gets compressed when lowered

your statement was about coilovers in general, and the majority of coilovers for the G change ride height by compressing the spring. So like triple8sol said, don't automatically assume coilovers are better than airbags, the correct answer is it depends, so why shouldn't airbags count for the lowest?

airbags shouldnt count because they can be raised which doesnt show a ballsy driver. a person slammed on triple perch coils rides like that daily and has ***** cause they just hit ****.
im not trying to make an argument just i dont respect air bagged rides at all. ive driven in airrunner cars and they ride like crap. i personally only drive triple perch coils that give full travel @ slammed height. people that ride double perch coils should only lower to about .5" over the bottom thread otherwise theyll blow their shocks and have horrible preload.

i also cornerbalance all my cars since triple perch coils make it so easy
