To all with R1 rotors, please chime in!!!!!!!!!

Well I'm trying to get a perspective on how everyone feels about these rotors???

I have an 05 G35x and I'm at 27k and I'm starting to get pretty nasty shimmy, instead of having rotors resurfaced I'm considering replacing them.

If you purchased and installed these how are they holding up so far???

If you had to do it all over again would you???

Did anyone choose blank replacements, or just slotted (not x-drilled & slotted)?

What pads did you choose? (research shows pad choice is critical to brake performance)

I've had R1 rotors on my other car (96 Mark VIII) with no problems, they work good and look great.

rotors

I have the R1 xdrilled and slotted premium rotors for my Brembos. They were originally black zinc coated, which has since been wore off by the pads. I have the HPS ceramic pads and I couldn't be happier. I've been running with these for about 8 months and there are no probs. There's no rust and very little dust.

I'm pleased with my R1 slotted at teh end of the first month..

I ordered pads via the web site by mistake. They look nice but have very weak bite. The rears literally melted just bedding them - must be from China...

Recommend Akebono for street/low dust and Hawk for autocross/track.

I have the R1 xdrilled/slotted on my car for a few months now and I like the performance and look. However I do issues about the rust on them but other than that I like them. How do you get rid of the rust
