6MT Brembo Coupe
I managed to change my Brembo pads without nicks or scratches just by using a C clamp and padding the caliper with rags/cut up t-shirts.

I've always used a C clamp to compress pistons. Sometimes you have to use it with the old pad still in there, but it works.

^^great find^^ you're right, it is pretty expensive though, but most "specialty tools" are. i think a tool like that would be most beneficial for those with BBk's (as in >4 pistons). for the tool from snap-on, i'll just put it between the brake pads to spread the pistons.

C-clamp. Inexpensive, easy to use and can be used for other things besides just the brakes.

How much does that Snap-On tool cost? That Stoptech tool is really cool but pricy.

the one i linked to is the same exact thing as the Snappy one. You can probably get one from harbor freight for $30

JOKER: that's a pneumatic one for the rear twisting calipers on some cars because it can be quite the pain in the *** to hold the tool while turning the end with a wrench, especially if the piston doesnt want to move.

Oh yeah it is pneumatic. But it's not for the rear only. It pushes with a trigger compressing the piston and if you need you can also turn it for the rear pistons.

Pretty cool tool.
