Coilover Install Pics

Has anyone installed a set of coilovers and done any sort of writeup or have pictures uploaded anywhere? I've searched and not been able to really find anything so far... I've found these, but they're not that great....

I'm sorta looking for something more like this, but with coilovers.

Thanks!

Here is the link to the how to, show's links to all pics concerning the how to.

When going with coilovers for these cars keep in mind that most applications, except for the Jic's for the 350Z application, do not follow the OEM front to rear spring rate balance. They use a heavy front rate increase over the stock setup, which of course will increase understeer. Let's look at Jic as a example (Tein's use's simular rate logic, beware).

Coilover spring rate balance as compaired to oem balance
Stock spring rates
F/R in lb/in
350Z and G35 coupe: 347/419
G35 sedan with sport: 357/407

Jic FLT-A2 350Z 560lbs front 672lbs rear
+64% front +60% rear

Jic FLT-A2 G35coupe 560lbs front 560lbs rear
+64% front +34% rear (notice the +30% shift to the front)

Jic FLT-A2 G35 sedan 504lbs 392lbs rear
+41% -4% rear (thats right, softer than OEM in the rear, I warned Jic not to market this setup, that they'd never sell, I see their special order only.)

Re: Coilover Install Pics

Yeah, I'm aware of the different spring rates and it's ok. I know there are the two different rates available for the G35 coupe, and we opted for the softer setup this time... Due to the fact that the car won't hit the track much, the added ride stiffness probably won't out weigh the increased handling.
Staggering the wheel width front to back will also affect cornering balance and create more understeer, but there are a couple adjustments that should help reduce that as well.
I am really looking for how the adjustable spring perch and spring sit in/on the rear control arm/chassis. I've installed regular springs (like eibach, tein, etc..) and they're a simple install, i'm mainly just looking for the coilover pics. We have them installed, but the few pictures I've seen so far look slightly different (looks like they have a different part) that's why I'm asking.

Thanks!
