I have a '03 coupe lowered on Eibach Pro Kit springs. I also have the Kinetix camber kit in the rear. After market 19" rims with 255/35 Toyo Proxes in the back and 245/35 rubber in the front. Fitment is dead on with the rims (re: offset and tires for rims).

HERE'RE MY PROBLEMS:
1. I'm experiencing some pretty worrisome bump steer. When I hit small potholes or other uneven surface, the rear gets a little squirrely. Someone advised to drop the spindles??? WTF?

2. Even with the Kinetix Camber kit (professionally installed), my right rear wheel can't get within factory tolerances. It's so bad, someone told me to go to a frame shop to have the car checked out. I bought the car new, never wrecked, and unless aliens f'd up my G while I was sleeping, I'm pretty sure there isn't frame damage. Castor is fine, but camber is jacked on my right rear wheel. This also leads to:

2a. Uneven tire wear and frequent alignment probs. The tire wear I can live with b/c even though the Proxes are unidirectional, I can still flip (or is it flop) them side to side off the rims. I need to adjust my alignment every three months or so and have the camber adjusted for good measure (which doesn't appear to be drifting all that much). Firestone lifetime alignment is my best friend.

I'm beginning to think the camber kit is doing wacky things to my camber and alignment--maybe something's bent? My real concern though is the deal with the bump steer? Any thoughts? THANKS!!!

 

The Kinetix camber kits are very low quality, they've even snapped in half while people have been driving. I'd say get an SPC/Eibach rear camber kit installed and you'll have no problem getting the rear within factory specs.

snapped? uh oh. now i'm scared. guess i'll go with the eibach toe and camber kits. hopefully that'll fix the bump steer too. thanks for the input.
