What up everyone. I know about the search feature and I did use it. There is so much information in so many threads that I get headaches from flippin back and forth.

I have a 04 6MT. I need to get my brakes taken care of. I am looking at r1concepts brake rotors (slotted and drilled) front and rear... $429.99 with Hawk HPS brake pads...171.99.

What brake rotors do you guys recommend? My care does not go to the track, however, I do open her up on the freeways when I can.

Whats the difference with with $900 brake rotor sets, $400 brake rotor sets and $100 brake rotor sets besides the name?

Best as far as not paying $3300 bucks for what the dealership wants to charge me.

I like what people have said about the Hawk HPS pads...so I am going to stick with those.

I just want to know what the differences are in brake rotor manufacturers. Stillen, R1Concepts, and Brembo etc. Once again, any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

As of right now, I think I will get the R1concepts slotted/drilled rotors.

 

I also have an 04, 6-speed with the Brembo package. I'm in the process, right now, of changing all my rotors and pads. I chose the Brembo slotted rotors with the Hawk HPS brake pads (for the OEM Brembo pads replacement).

The price for the rotors came in at $325/front-pair and $320/rear-pair from Import Replacement Parts (www.importrp.com). At tirerack.com they have them a bit more expensive.

I, personally, have a problem getting the front Hawk HPS pads to fit my Brembo system (because of the shim kit) but I understood that other people have done it successfully (I didn't have any problems fitting the rear pads).
