I have currently ordered my Tanabe coilovers from MyNismo, and they should be on their way! After seeing most people going with Tein Basics instead of Tanabe Sustec Pros I will be posting a full write up on comparing before and after. Also, if there is anyone around the Mercer County NJ area who has a G35 with Tein Basics, I would like to do a ride comparison. The first write up will be with stock 18s, the 2nd with 20" Volks.

Well, I have received my Tanabe Coilovers from Eddie@PerformanceNissan on Friday, and commenced the install on Saturday. I will post pictures later on tonight. I started Satruday morning working with only hand tools, jack stands and the OEM jack. Saturday night the score was Me 0, FrozenBolts 2. Before I called it quits for the night, I sprayed some Liquid Wrench on all the nuts and bolts. After picking up a breaker bar Sunday morning, and instantly loosening the bolts, I was able to continue. All in all, I personally think it was worth the install. I will give a detailed right up this weekend once the springs settle.

As far as the install goes, here are some key points:

1. Jack up the front of the car - When you jack up one side of the car, the suspension is loaded from the top AND the bottom.
2. Use a jack to unload suspension components and to line up bolt holes
3. Compress the springs on the car - This was also mentioned in another suspension write-up
4. Loosen the strut bolts with the struts on the car
5. Start with the front - If you start with the rears, you will hit a wall as the front are NOWHERE near as easy!!!!
6. Last but not least - Boxes of bandages (notice its plural) or Mechanix Gloves, take your pick
