+1

Your camber looks like its at the maximum positive amount possible. I'd have it set at around -1.5 and then i doubt you'll rub anymore.

[QUOTE=Gilley]I'm going to say that it's your rear offset and rim width, not the tires. The rims stick out past the body.

I have the same BFG KDW's on 285/30/20 on 20x10.5 +29 and I don't rub. I rolled the fender for an extra margin, but I wasn't rubbing before that.

Rim offset has as much to do with rubbing as tire size. I think you would do better to bring the tire in with different offsets, but if you bring it in too much, you're going to rub the suspension on the inside. The OEM 19's are 19x8.5 +33 in the rear for comparison.

I've ordered the same rim in a 35 offset instead of the 20 I originally purchased. I'll bet ya a dollar it fixes the problem.

BTW, Sean, your Coupe looks great! Tell me about that tailight treatment. New lenses or did you tint them?

Thanks!

The +35 will certainly bring them in.

The tail lights have overlays from bluebatmobile.net

+35 in the rear IMO is going to look lame, especially with a +20 on the front. Should have stuck with the +20 and changed your alignment

We'll see... take another look at those pics I posted. In real life it looks even worse. I'm betting that since the tire NOW hangs out of the fender an average of 15mm across the whole arch, it will look just about right. Especially when you take into consideration how beefy the BFG sidewalls are. With the 20 offset, it looks like a dune buggy from the back. Not only that, but I hate the look of negative camber. It cracks me up when I see the Neon & Civic boys running around with the "bent axle" look. I'm oldschool and own '72 Vette and hate when I see one running around with the rear tires leaning. I'm not roadracing my cars, I just enjoy the typical weekend jaunt. My G35 is my daily driver and I prefer it not to be radical, just nice with some big, fat meats stuffed in those holes.

Are the overlays permanent? Are they legal? They look cool.

I run a 9.5 +5 in the rear with a 285/35/19, so even +20 is still conservative in my eyes. +35 is unthinkable to most here, but if you like it, then thats all that matters

I hear what you're saying. Ruff makes the wheel in 20 & 35 offsets ONLY. As I see it, if I sink them too much, a 5mm spacer may even things out.

It's funny, in the old days everyone had about 10 wheels to choose from for their Camaro, Mustang, Vette, Chevelle, Torino, etc. The bottom line was, you did what everyone knew worked. If you wanted to get crazy, you were throwing airshocks out back. Much different ballgame today. I've owned my Coupe for a couple years and only just started mods. Defintely a learning process.

They're adhesive vinyl and removable. Mine have cutouts for the lights and I imagine are legal since nothing covers them up.
