creaking/squeaking in rear passgenger brake

I have an 03 coupe..auto(no brembo)
there has been a somewhat loud noise coming from the rear every time I stop. It almost sounds like a warped rotor because there are slight pauses of silence in between the noise while I'm coming to a stop.
I took it to a local shop..they said the rotors were good, brakes were good..they checked the pins in the caliper - said those were good..they couldn't figure it out.
Took it to the dealer - same thing..they don't know. They want to replace the pads at $210 (including machining rotors) as a troubleshooting step. No guarantee that will fix it. Said it could possibly be the e-brake problem as well.
There is 7mm of pad left in rear. Dealer said they don't believe its a safety issue..just ghetto sounding
Just curious if anyone ever heard of this problem.

also, every time they take the wheels off and do their inspection and put everything back together...the noise stops for approx 5-10 stops..then slowly comes back and gets worse and worse.

I have the same year and model and my rear left brakes are making the same noise. I'm thinking it's probably the rotors that need refacing or replacement. Idk.
