First hand experience, anyone can help!
Ok so I just picked up my g35 last week and I'm new to the forum but not new to car forums. I had an eclipse and was a member of club3g for awhile and learned that car forums can be very helpful.
Anyways I'm trying to get my car droped pretty soon. I did my research and went through all the specs on the different suspension products available for our car. I'm mainly looking for the visual aspect of lowering for this car (I'm happy with the suspension on the G) so I just want to go with some springs instead of coilovers.
I'm looking at tein S-techs for the G and tein H/S-techs for the Z. The Tein S-techs for the 350z have a spring rate of 386/402 and The H-techs are 358/375. The Tein S-techs for the G35 are at 358/274 and the stock are 314/427. They all seem to be progressive in the front and linear in the back so i'm not sure if thats playing a factor. I can look at these numbers all day but I wont make up my mind until I hear from people first hand. I have an 05 g35 with the sport tuned suspension package so I dont want to hurt the handling in any way. It seems like the g35 springs are the softest but they all are softer than the stock. From your personal experience do any of these springs listed above decrease the performance of the g's suspension with the sport package? I hear teh z's are stiffer but I want to try and get a good comparison to work with.
I know just about all of you have lowered your cars so any input would be great. I want to make sure I do it right this time, I had teh prokit for my eclipse and didnt really like how those turned out. Also if there are any other factors I'm leaving out please feel free to add any information I need to know.

If you are ok with the 1.2"/1.1" drop that the 350Z S-tech's will drop your car, their really is no point of discussion to ask which of your other choices will measure up to your oem suspension. I can't tell you how many post's I see about subjective opinion that deal with parts that have no utter influence on the car, yet all too often they are talked up as having made a noticeable or huge differance. If you want performance, the G35 aftermarket either uses progressive springs with a wide rate spread or defaults to lower then oem spring rates, which is why I created the master list of G and Z spring and coilover specs, so owners can at least see for themselves before they buy.

I read the list and saw all the numbers. I'm just trying to see if these after market springs are decreasing the performance of our cars handling ability. I'm not an expert, the numbers give me an idea but I cant really determine how they will effect a car. I was hoping someone could tell me first hand if they are making any noticeable change.
