Question Rear Spring sizes?

So the Sustec Pro Seven's have PRO210 springs for the rears that are progressive instead of linear. Boo! I think I'm going to replace just the rear springs but don't know what diameter or length they are. Anyone know this?

For reference:

thanks!

Acording to the Tanabe website the PRO210 spring is linear. The Pro Seven's come with a 10kg spring.

Improtant to maintain fore aft stiffness ratio since this ratio sets the pitch rate for highway joints and undulations vs speed.

As you raise stiffness the tuning ideal speed increases.

Hmmm. . .the spring on the coilover itself is linear, but the rear isn't a coilover, just a spring/damper. Yes, I'd keep the 10kg/10kg setup, I just don't believe the PRO210 is linear for the back--it has two distinctly separate coil seperations on it.

I don't have pictures here, but it looks like:

Like Tein, the springs that Tanabe uses in the rear of the Z and G are note your typical diameters normally found in a coilover. They are 5" diameter springs that sit in the oem lower control arm. Tanabe's PRO210 springs are all 2.5" outside diameter, which is too small to sit directly in the oem lower control arm.

What you can do. Eibach makes a line of 5" outside diameter linear springs called ESS. You can buy one that is 8" tall in your choice or rate, as long as you understand that they are sold in increments of 25lbs. Their is one 350Z owner that replaced his Jic rear springs, they do sit in the lower control arm. Make sure you avoid the 5.5" outside diameter ESS spring and get the 5" outside diameter ESS spring.
