Brembo Rotors

I just had an experience with the same thing. Took it to a brake shop to have them measured and sure enough they were too thin to be turned. So rather than pouring more of my money into to stealership I went to EverythingG35.com and looked there, they had the OEM quality front Brembo rotors for $75 each. Much cheaper than the 500 I was quoted at Infiniti. Mike was who I talked to, said he had the same ones on his Z and he stated they meet or exceed the factory rotors. So 3 days later they get here and I installed them with ProjectNissan Mu B-Force pads. Mike wasn't lying about the rotors. From what I can tell so far they seem to be stopping a lot better than what I had before, and there is no noise what so ever, plus the venting on the rotors is alot better so it will help with the high temps you may experience.

Can you tell us more about the EverythingG35 rotors? What's different about the venting, and are they heat-treated? Who makes them?

Everythingg35.com rotors

Centric Parts is the company that makes them. I don't have any technical data on them, but when I looked at them from the top and compared them to the OEM's you could see a noticeable difference in the venting. These use less venting material allowing more air to travel through the rotor. As far as being heat treated, I don't know, however the website for the company is http://www.centricparts.com/prod02.htm
if you have any technical questions I would suggest calling or emailing them.

Thanks for the info. Centric Parts is actually the company that bought Stoptech last year. They should be decent quality.

I'm at 60,000km and still using the factory OEM Brembo rotors. I've changed my front & rear pads once at 49,000km with OEM Brembo pads. My rotors were fine but was told that I'll need new rotors the next time I do a brake job. By then, I should be upgrading to the Stoptech direct replacement rotors.

I just got back from the mech. that I have used for 17 yrs and he said the same to me about my 2004 G35 Coupe +Brembo. "when you change the pads, change the rotors". Apparently the OEM rotors are soft enough (or the pads hard enough) to eat the rotors. I have 38,000 mi.
I am searching the forums for a better rotor solution before replacing. Never had any squeak though.
