Tire Life?

Tire Life?
Average life tires should get on a G35 Coupe?
Seems like I've only had mine for 10k miles and they're balding pretty bad.
Oddly enough, they're not balding evenly.
Right rear tire is balding in the middle, while left rear isn't that bad.
Suggestions? Am I looking at a problem?
Solution before I purchase 20 inch Asanti's and new tires?

^^^Hopefully my next tire when my SportMaxx wear out. Maybe by then they'll have 20's. With my current drop, I'm -2.x camber.
Interesting...usually they wear on the insides from oem negative camber.
Wear in the middle usually indicates over inflation of tire.
Tire Rack good place to research tires. Gives wear rating numbers. Higher the number, longer they last.
KDW2's have a rating of 300 I think. Highest I've seen for ultimate high performance ZR tires, but my set of KDW2's were noiser than my Dunlops currently.
When you decide and get, highly recommend a 4 wheel alignment same day or soon afterwards.

The life of tread [where the wear index number comes from] is a on the road test where the wear get extrapolated from 7,200 miles.
Testing for this category is performed on a 400 mile test course near San
Angelo, TX , USA. A group of not more than four test vehicles travel the
course in a convoy so that all tires experience the same conditions. Tread
depths are measured every 800 miles. The same procedure is done for a set of control tires. After 7,200 miles results are compared and the test tires are
assigned a rating.
Unfortunately these tire test convoys are driven in a slow and non accelerative manner so they always over estimate the life if you drive faster than speed limits or accelerate faster than a snail or brake without the egg under the pedal.
Streets and road rough have a serious impact on tread life especailly in warm summer conditions.

Ultra high performance tires are stressed to achieve these levels of enhanced performance and as such they should be replaced at 20,000 miles to avoid the exponential increases in failures that occur ofter 2 years.

Try Nitto NeoGenz tires. there are made for car with horrible camber issues. And helps the tire wear out evenly.

Neo Gen tires help with negative camber, but they are also asymmetrical which means they can NOT be flipped. You can get the same life out of a tire by flipping it from one side to another when the first inside wears out.

One problem many non engineers overlook is that while a camber kit can fix the camber sitting still so the alignment APPEARS CORRECT............lowering even with camber kits changes the point on the camber gain curve.
A bump steer kit is needed to avoid serious toe problems as the body rolls and changes position in a lowered vehicle.
Invariably lowering even with kits causes many serious problems that degrade tire life!
