Hotchkis Sway Settings

I have a G35 sedan 6mt...what are the settings you recommend for the bars and why. I am use to a tighter feel. Right now I have stiff in front and medium in back. I want a safe setting. What is the right combo for this car? Thanks.

How do you like them so far? Do you notice any real difference?

Re: Hotchkis Sway Settings

I have mine at middle/middle. It seemed to remove the understeer and kept the car riding similar to the before Hotchkis days.

Try the middle/middle seting and see if you like it. I think its great but others may have a different opinion or better reasons as to why they set theirs up differently.

Re: Hotchkis Sway Settings

I'll be getting my sways tomorrow (from titan motorsports' groupbuy) and think I will start off on the medium front and soft rears... not that I don't like a firm ride but I just think that is around a good setting for the car.... but we'll see right? I have not heard alot on the sways itself so Im guessing it'll be a trial and error type of deal. Oh yea, my impressions will be with the Tein Flex coilovers on my car so I am not sure how well my settings will be for the stock suspension people...but nevertheless I'll keep everyone posted.

Re: Hotchkis Sway Settings

Daniel, if you go stiff front end rear you are going to have a problem controling the oversteer. I have mine set stiff front and soft rear, I do a lot of road racing (track days) and this set up works for me.

Stiff/Stiff is a bit of a handful. You go from one extreme to the other. I may switch to soft rear but I like the middle/middle set up.

Re: Hotchkis Sway Settings

mid/mid is good for the street but feels like stock on the track for my tipe of driving. I think the set up to use will vary depending on the way the driver likes the car, tail loose, under steer or if you use soft tires for the track it might be stiff/stiff. You have test what's best for your driving needs.

Your car looks sooooo good. My wife will love the pics. I agree with you completely, the driving style, tires/type & condition and the arena dictate much of the setting preference.
