axxis deluxe or Hawk HPS

Which one do you think is better? I heard a lot about the Hawk HPS and seen they are great but have bad cold intial bite. I live in NJ and it's cold for a while so I wouldn't want to suffer from that. I want to stick with the low dust pads and I heard that these two are pretty reputable. Which would you reccommend? And do thr Axxis Deluxe have bad cold initial bite? Thanks in advance

Chris

I went with the Hawks primarily because of the low dust factor. The initial bite on those pads seems weaker than the OEM pads but the Hawks definitely provide strong braking performance after acceleration. I don't know of anyone who's experienced with Axxis pads but I too have heard it puts out less brake dust and decent braking performance. Not sure if this answers your question but I just wanted to give you my opinion on the Hawks (after putting 4K miles on them).

Hey Chris
I'm running the Axxis Ultimate upfront right now and Hawk pads in the rear. The Axxis dust alot but don't have that slight weak bite like the Hawks have (ran full Hawks before). I will wind up switching back to the Hawks though in the spring cause I can't stand all the cleaning I have to do with my mesh wheels when running the Axxis.

Hope this helps

Keep dust off my wheels......!

Hawk HP pads reduces brake dust 90% and worth what ever they cost you!

Axxis bites alot better than the Hawk.

Beaware that the initial bite for the Hawks are quite alot worse than that of OEM, especially in colder climate before the brakes are warmed up

I've heard the same, poor initial bite for the Hawks. I think the Axxis are the way to go for colder climates esp in Canada.

The whole thing about the Hawk and the cold initial bite frightens me a bit lol. Axxis is looking more in my favor. However, I would like to try to find a low dust pad. Any other suggestions other than hawk or axxis?

I have Axxis pads and they are great. I have been using these since I bought the car. The break dust really is minimal and they feel great. Also you will get a lot of life out of them.

I currently use the Axxis Deluxe on my sedan in the front and I like them. They feel like OEM but with much less dust. The rear pads are OEM and it's odd to see the rear wheels dustier than the front.

When I install the Brembo calipers and rotors in a couple of weeks, I will use the Axxis Deluxe pads with them too.

I used to use Axxis Ultimate pads when the Brembos were on my coupe, and although they worked very well, as others have posted, they dust a lot.

Where's the best place to pick up a set of Axxis Deluxe pads? I ed it, and found them for $80, but I want to know the cheapest place and where most of you all get them.

I got mine from www.importrp.com. If you don't see what you want listed, call them. I have ordered several things from them and they are very friendly and helpful.
