My car is in the shop to address a front end squeaking noise which the dealer service tech diagnosed to a steering rack (haven't heard this one before but since it's warranty repair I didn't argue).

While it's in the shop... I am having them check out a groaning noise coming from the front end when I am releasing the brake pedal or creeping. The pads+rotors are in good shape and there's no squealing (just checked less than a month ago). I'm guessing that either the calipers are not releasing properly and need to be cleaned/lubes or the brake system needs to be bled properly. Any other possible causes for this problem?

 

Sorry to resurrect this old post, but I'm having the same groaning brake noise when I release the brake pedal. Brakes at all four corners are in good shape. Can someone please help?
