Exclamation Strut bar issue .... need help!!!

I am currently running the Circuit Sport Upper STB and have come across an issue that I am hoping someone can help me with.

I have motordyne 5/16 spacer and with the bar on, the top of the plenum is touch/hitting the underside of the bar during acceleration. I know some other people had similar issues with their bar unfortunately i wasn't able to find any answer to what they did about it.

I was thinking of running a washer or shims (if they do make anything like that) between the bar and the strut body. My dilemma is that with the strut bolts being short as it is, would adding a washer/shimm as a spacer leave less threads that the bolt can grab on?

Also, what clearance were you able to achieve to make sure that the plenum does not hit the strut?

I know some of you may have a different strut bars but if you have any and all advice i would appreciate it.

Got teh same set up. I have 2 washer all the way round on the strut bar. Make sure your upper plenum bolts are tight to spec. I dont know what thickness the washer are becuase I have one of those 1000 washers in a case. Once everything is on right, it will be really close but it never touches.

OK thanks guys. I appreciate your advice.

I will let you know how it turns out.

WIZ2 - did you have any issues with the bar touching the underside of the hood/sound deadening material? Mine touches in 2 places right now, but it doest look that bad. I am just wondering with 2 washers what will the clearance will be like.

I may try and make spacers out of aluminum since it is much thiner. (this is only if the strut will have a major issue with the under side of the hood.)
