Best/ Popular brake pads
If I had non Brembo brakes, then no doubt about it, I would get the Grubbs performance brake pads. Where you with us at MSR during their track event? The professional race driver who was giving ride-alongs was running their performance brake pads.. out of this world. He gave ride after ride at insane speeds and the brake pads held up, on stock rotors non-the-less (although he had modified the bumper with some ducting to get air flowing to the brakes). If they made those pads for the Brembo calipers, I would be all over them.
The guy was driving a G with stock rotors?
All it had was intake, exhaust, springs and sway bars. And of course, the ducting in the front bumper and the brake pads. He was also on R compound tires. The ride-along I took with him was more intense than a roller coaster! BeerViper was there and got a ride as well.
check the vendor classifieds on the board
What car was he driving? A G35?
That is still cheaper than a $500 or $1000 deductible if you get into a wreck! Don't bother with the Hawk HPS pads. Their initial bite is terrible and I wasn't impressed with their overall performance.
Yes, an 06 g35 coupe, with non brembo bakes, isn't that what we were talking about
does anyone have the specs for the project Mu NS pads? What temperature range are they good for?

Thanks, I will check em out. I guess its come down to Project mu and Grubbs performance for my 06.
Brake ducts make a pretty big difference in brake cooling, so take that into consideration for hard driving/track days on these pads.
If you guys want a great street pad, Axxis Deluxe is very good. Low dust and low noise and perfect for a street only setup. When I go to auto-x or track, I switch the pads out to something more aggressive. Axxis Deluxe is pretty damn cheap as well, you could get both the front and rear for well under $100.
As for Project Mu NS pads:
Material: Asbestos Free Street Pad
Applicable rotor temperature: 0~400℃
Friction coefficient: 0.37~0.40μ
That's 752 F.. not that high really. My Axxis ultimates have a higher range.. So no go for me on the Ns pads.
