What is this?

Anyone know what this thing is? Never seen anything like this before.

I was trying to install some winter wheels on my G and they don't fit because of this thing... The wheels that i bought came off of a 2003 G35 coupe - so i am a bit curious as to what this thing is and if it is on all G coupes...

just unscrew it, it's there to prevent the stock rear wheels being mistakenly put on the front since on the coupe's it's a staggered fitment, cuz you know shops sometiimes do wheel rotations and sometimes they're too dumb to even know what a staggered setup really is, and this was put in place for idiots like that.
Like I said, unscrew it and slap on your wheels. I just did it a few days ago when I was putting my wheel spacers on

ppo here thinks it is to prevent owners from putting the rear wheels onto the front... i use them to help remove my rotors if theyre stuck too tight.....
just take em off and you'll be fine...
