[QUOTE=High Octane]So I was driving last night, going about 40mph on a nice road, unlike all the others in Chicago area. So anyway, I hear a loud POP/Burst noise and immediately pull over.

Please tell us the name of that tire so i never make the mistake of getting it

Don't know how old your tires are, but maybe worn tires...

Most of the time that I've seen that happen is because of what's called a "heat ring". Normally due to people getting a puncture and then driving while the tire is low pressure. In regards to the TPMS system not going off, to my knowledge it can take up to 8-10 minutes for the system to register a flat. Most TPMS sensors only send a signal every 2 minutes, and they don't necessarily transmit all sensors at the same time. It really doesn't matter what brand of the tire it was, or that it was a snow tire or not. I've seen it happen to anything from Hankook's to Michelins and Bridgestones... Glad you're ok, and even happier that Discount Tire is taking care of you
