Little OT; I have to step down really far to make a stop.

I decided to take my old car for a spin. About 14-15 yrs of age. A huge difference when you drive a brand new G. Anyways, on my old car, I really have to step the brake pedal far down in order to get a complete stop. It almost feels like the brakes won't even function. I was wondering what I can do to get this fixed, or what might be the problem.

What kind of car is it? It could simply mean the brake pads are worn.

Yea what type of car and how old, maybe the brake fluid leaked out if it sat up too long(in your description it sound like at least 10years). Maybe need to bleed it??

It's a 93 T-Bird. I want to take it to the shop sometime in the future. It still runs very well, but the brakes make you lose confidence when you drive.
