Why pay so much for a strut bar?

Thanks for the info.. just wanted to clarify it doesn't require any stress or heartache to install before I buy one.. if it's just a couple of bolts then what the heck

I was very happy with the price I paid for a new Richie's FSTB. If anything, it's the ARC and VRT bars that are way overpriced.

do you think it's worth $200+ for a strut bar? can you tell a difference, or are you trying to make yourself feel it since you spent the $$ on it

i didn't particulary enjoy paying $600(?) for mine, but it's functional and
a night/day difference on my car. it's a nice unit. the arc that is.

I just bought the Stillen bar from Stillen.com on sale for $187.60 shipped.
Current sale price is $177, free shipping, no tax. $9.95 Insurance and Handling.
The deal was too good to pass on.

I am neck deep in suspension mods at the moment, but when I am ready will I be able to buy a new richie strut tower brace? Do I just PM him or is there a website?

PM caskyline he can get you a new NRG Strut Bar...


NRG - richie bar are the exact same thing.

So it fits over the engine cover! Do you have a spacer as well?

No I don't. But I plan to. Check out this thread. Citymunky did a very good joob keeping the stock cover with the Stillen Strut Bar and with MD 3/8" Spacer. I'll be doing the same set-up. It a very clean set-up with the stock cover.

Note: The Stillen Strut Bar will only work if you have the Z Tube.

How cool! I have the 350Z intake tube and the 3/8" MD plenum spacer. Looks like it will fit OK!
