SPC A Arm, play in thread?
What's up guys, me and a couple guys installed my tein coilovers on my car this weekend along with the rear adj control arm by spc along with the toe bolt and the front spc control arms. everything installed fine and worked great til we got to the front control arms. I used this as a guide: https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspension/130848-my-spc-arm-installation.html and all that went great until i put the last lock nut on there with the cotter pin in it. It seemed that when I put the nut on there was not enough pressure or tension because I tightened the nut up and did so more and more and more until it ran out of thread and couldn't tighten up anymore. And once I ran out of thread it was still loose. What should I do? Anybody else have this problem????
This is the pic showing gilley's install with the nut tightened up and at the very bottom of the thread as if "there is pressure" and it seems tight. Where as mine nut is all the way up with alot of thread showing and doesn't seem tight! I'll take a pic of mine as soon as I get it back from aligment shop, somebody help please!

that doesnt make sense, using the old nut wont help. i'm still havin issues with to much play on the stud at the top with the ball joint. my nut wont tighten up cause im runnin out of thread cause there is "play" there.
You are most likely missing the conical bushing that is supposed to go into the caster (the vertical piece of metal that comes up from the wheel hub). I had the same issue with my Cusco A-arms the other weekend where I had about an inch of free space between the caster mount and the A-arm rubber bushing; the bolt just kept on going until it ran out of thread.
You could try to get the conical bushing off the stock a-arm, but this is very hard (I tried). Or you can just get a pair from any Nissan/Infiniti dealership. The part number is 40173-AL500. Make sure to get TWO.
If you have the bushings on already then you are just SOL man... hahaha a.k.a. I don't know the solution to your problem.

Awesome I'm glad somebody could help, I'll pick these up ASAP when I get off work today. One more question.....where does the conical bushing go on the a arms? Does it go on top of the metal piece and under the current red bushing on the a arm? Any pics?
I don't have pics, but it goes on top of the red rubber thing you have. It's like a top hat for that huge red rubber ball joint (mine is black on the cusco arms). If you look at you OEM arms, you will see the bushings you need attached to them. These bushings will perfectly fit inside the caster mount; as you can see the caster mount is like a cone shaped hole. That's why the bushing is needed; it keeps the arm bolt from moving around a lot.
So ya, the conical bushing goes between the arm and the caster and goes right into the caster from the top. The nut goes on the other side (below) along with the pin.
