got revised?

got a quick question.. say you have revised Z suspension on your G sedan.. what else can you do to drop the car even more? should you browse/shop for lowering springs made for the Z, or the G sedan? kinda confused

in my particular situation, i have Z shocks and springs in the front, and just Z springs in the rear..

your input and help is much appreciated in advance!

if it makes you feel any better, im running 350z unrevised shocks front and rear with sedan s-techs. after looking at a few sedan w/350z s-techs i suggest using the springs specific to the sedan. for some reason i feel that the 350z springs (stock or aftermarket) leave to much gap in the front compared to the rear. like an uneven drop.

thats just my opinion...

+1 on that. I have revised 350z suspension and if I want a lower drop will the 350z tein (s) or (h) techs give a bigger drop on the sedan than say sedan tein (s) or (h) techs would? I think this is also JNTHNsG35 question.

Yes, anything made for the Z will drop you 1" more than they say they will.
Anything made for the coupe will drop you .5" more than they say they will.

Read Ttrank's post that's stickied in the sedan section.

I love the stance on my G with revised z spings shocks and struts. Sits pretty level or up just a tad in the rear.

^ THANK YOU
At least someone is on the same page! I have read Tim's thread about 13 times and if we listen to your 1" theory then that means that 350z suspension drops the sedan 1" and then if I were to buy 350z tein springs that drop the 350z 1" then my sedan will have a 2" drop or more because the sedan has 350z suspension??? No offense but please don't add input in this thread unless you know what you are talking about or have a good explaination. Thanks

cut the springs ?
add spring clamps ?
or put blocks under the car with a 1/2in gap between the block and frame of the car and heat up the springs ??? lol

there are also some rubber spacers on the spring perches you could remove, but it may get squeeky and they are prob too thin to make much difference in ride height.

that's all I could think of

if you wanted more drop you should've gotten something aftermarket rather that oem z suspension. You bought it knowing you'd drop it 1 inch all around. Short of removing rubber pieces and cutting the springs, there isnt much you can do to drop it even more. Carry more heavy people in your car perhaps?

yeah add bags of concrete lol

actually I have had good luck with spring clamps in the past. My 68 Mustang has them on the front becasue I wanted to keep the springs it had just go lower. Works perfectly.

I agree, coilovers are the best way to go for adjustability sake. I wanted a slight drop for a cheap, temp. solution, just wondering if there was anything else I could do to get it a little lower w/o going full coilover suspension. Is this a tough question???

If you have the money, coil-overs are the best. The springs and struts are matched perfectly and you can adjust the height.

*sigh* this is the second time I've posted this link here. If you want an aggressive drop, and don't care about handling, go for it. If you want your car to handle well, and like to save a little bit of cash:

Maybe you should've read it 14 times. See the quote below:

Anything currently on the market that fits the coupe or 350Z will also fit the RWD sedan. BUT, if it is not sedan specific be aware that anything from the 350Z will lower the sedan 1" more and coupe parts will lower the sedan 0.5" more than they list. The stock Z springs will lower the sedan ~1" and the stock coupe springs will lower the sedan ~0.5".
DIRECT quote from the said thread, which is exactly what I just told you.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm telling you, you catch on quickly!

How about you use that "search" button up top before you go mouthing off at people?
