hey guys.. i just installed my zeal function xs into my widebody g.. but for some reason wenever i hit lil dips or like lil bumps i hear a loud poping on the right rear side.. is it because my spring tension is to tensed??? wat do you guys think? im pretty sure it is.. but i just wanna make sure

 

im not sure about Zeal, cuz never have ride it before, but when i first got my tein basic, i got the same weird noise, and now i get used to it~, i thought it was my swap bar, cuz i did the install together, but after i read about it, these sound are very common from coilover...~

If you have the true coilover setup in the rear, all the springs should be set to have the least amount of tension on them as required to simply keep the springs in place when no weight is being but on any one corner of the car. Vehicle height is only set by adjusting the damper's longer or shorter.

When you hear noise's you should first isolate if you can which end of the car it is comming from. Then go in and tighten every part that would have been loosened in the install process.

 

make sure the nut that holds the coilover shock to the shock tower is bolted all the way down. mine wasnt and was making a little "tick tick" sound. i tightened it and it went away
