broken endlinks

How many people on here have had their stock endlinks snap due to sway bars? After reading a little bit im a little weary about these things snapping on me and really dont want to deal with the hassle and headache of it if its something very common. Thanks for all your replys

thanks, i read through the thread. but im really curious of the problem to sway bar installation ratio. i pretty much did/have everything in my sig within a month and a half of purchasing this car and im a little tapped for cash right now, dropping more on aftermarket endlinks isnt really in the mix right now

IMO, if they are fine now, then I wouldn't be worried... if you're still worried later on, then just upgrade for the piece of mind. It's a cheap mod anyways...

SPL? Something like that, I don't remember... a cheaper alternative would be 05+ endlinks.

Yes. Upgrading sway bars are typically one of the best mods for handling... the Stillen sways are especially good because they are adjustable.

05 endlinks don't cost that much, and are a bit beefier than the 03-04 endlinks, so you could always do that down the road if they snap.

I've had my sways on for a year with no issues so far, though admittedly I don't thrash my car.

i dont trash my car per-say lol, but i do like to drive a little spiritedly through the twisties sometimes and take turns hard, i just dont want to be driving and have this thing snap in half and render my car useless for a couple weeks. How much are the 05 endlinks and where can they be purchased? thanks everyone for all your help youve all been really helpful

05 endlinks can be bought from any dealer, or from any of the parts websites - mynismo.com, everythingg35.com, etc. The'yre about $15-25/pc. depending on where you get them.

And why would your car be rendered useless for a couple of weeks? It's not a difficult fix if an endlink snaps. It doesn't wreck your whole suspension.

dude u will be fine with stock endlinks for a long time. As dofu said just upgrade the endlinks later when have a chance. Unless u are at the track every weekend u shouldn't be worried about ur endlinks going bad or anything.

I upgraded to the revised OEM endlinks after snapping one in the front after the swaybar install. I think I paid $11 each for the front and rears from one of the forum sponsors. The revised endlinks have held up well and have no problems since.
