bilstein pss9s any new reviews/impressions

I'v gone through the threads and can't find much on the pss9s or pss. I
m considering these highly but there are only a few posts about these. Does anyone have any recommendations for or against these. Also how do the rear shocks adjust(through the trunk or down at the lower mount).

As with any purchase, some quesition's really need to be answered first.

1. Coupe or sedan?

2. What do you want out of whatever new suspension you install on the car?

3. What about the oem suspension drives you to buy something else?

4, Will you track or auto-x the car, if so how often?

5. What are your thoughts about ride height, how much drop do you want if at all with the new suspension?

6. What is your budget?

I recently installed the Pss9 on my car, been on the setup for a little over a week, not really enough time for me to really comment in depth. Eventually I plan on running stiffer springs, but for now I'm running it in out of the box form.

The first week I ran the setup with the damping set to full soft. Overall damping at that setting is beyond reproach, no bad behavior, just control when and where it should be delivered. Yes, it's too soft of a setting for me to really be happy, but it's refreshing for sample something that doesn't let you down. Only thing I could nit pick about is a desire for a little more high speed rebound in the rear comming of really large bumps, not a "bounce" issue, just allow's full extension too quickly IMO. Next up, a few hundred miles with the damping set to 1/2 stiff.

The rear dampers adjust at the bottom just above the lower shock mount.

I have a 2004 auto g35 coupe with an HKS supercharger and 20 inch wheels. The current suspension is Tanabe nf 210s with tokico d-specs and Stillen sways on med/med with spc camber kit f/r. I am currently using the car as a daily driver (I have a diesel Chevy truck)but with diesel prices switched to the g.. I do track the car at HPDE NASA events approx 4 per season. The oem was a little soft and understeered on the track, although that was before the supercharger. The Tanabe's give a good mild drop but seem too soft and even with the d-specs they seem to bottom out at times, or are too bouncy on stiffening up the d-specs. I'm looking for a good daily driving suspension, not bone jarring, with mild/moderate drop approx 1 inch with adjustability to work well on the track, willow springs, laguna seca, buttonwillow, fontana. Also, I want to stay under 2gs.

Your sences are right.

Oem spring rates
314/342

Tanabe NF210 Springs G35 COUPE progressive springs 1”/.6
Spring rates in LBS 297/336

1"/.6" less suspension travel AND less spring rate. The bounce is likely the shocks trying to control the overall rate spike caused when the suspension run's out of travel as they kiss the bumpstops because of the reduced stoke and lower spring rates (ok, not that much lower then oem).

So, I totally understand why you want to get something else. For what you want the Bilstein setup should be perfect. Though I can't comment on how the setup behaves on the stiffer damper settings, give me some time to experience those settings. Only thing that I am not found of is the rear springs which are progressive, but it's not my intent to keep the setup with the springs that came in the box, I intend to install (since I have them on hand) 448/500 linear springs and test.

BTW, if you run a search on my350Z under Pss9, you can see some owner comments.

Well, I decided to purchase the pss9s this past week but guess what, Bilstein is not shipping them because they are missing part of the kit. Apparently there is a new revision on the pss9 and the new version is backordered probably until September. I can't wait. I ordered the new HKS Hipermax III.
