Brakes Brake assembly question

I just purchased a replacement set of rotors, calipers, brake lines, and fluid from a vendor. This covers both the front and rear. My question is about the rear assembly.. I have an 04 non brembo (5AT) coupe. Do I need to purchase the shoes for the rear parking brake drums?

No, unless they are worn out (very unlikely).

Good thread about adjustment. Took me a long time to figure out the manual refers it as a parking brake and not e-brake!
https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...MERGENCY+BRAKE

Dug though the manual and found the following:
Std thickness for the p brake shoe: 3.2mm
Min thickness : 1.5mm

Looks like you're okay for now and just need to adjust it. Which I also need to check and adjust. Let me know if you had to adjust the cable too. Personally, I'd adjust the drum first via the tumber and see how that works. But the manual says to do the cable first. Seems backwards to me.

Let me know how much a new set of shoes will cost. I get the feeling mine are toast also.

I checked Napa ( I usually trust them more) but they only list the brembo equipped versions and it's a bit more.

For something like this I think Shucks is fine. Thanks

What the hell did you do to your P-brakes man? I thought mine were toast and I even bought a new set from Shucks before doing my 06+ Z brake swap. Ends up the rears were almost 2mm anyway. Just never adjusted. The brand new ones were just over 2mm. So I'll be returning the new ones.

It was really easy to ajust the P-Brake shoes. After I ajusted them, the P-brake pedal only goes down maybe 1/2 way vs almost all the way down. I don't think anyone ajusted them. Took ALOT of turns to get them to grab the rotor.
