rotor resurface
if i just installed new front brake pads but did not resurface my rotors, is this extremely terrible or am i just going to get uneven wear? And if i do get uneven wear, whats the worst that can happen? I just really don't want to mess with taking off the rotor and getting them resurfaced.
You should first check if your rotors actually do need resurfacing. You can generally tell when you apply brakes while driving and you feel a constant shudder of some degree on your brake pedal. After you've confirmed that the rotors need to be resurfaced, the next step is checking if the thickness of your rotors are within factory spec. I don't know what year your G is, but for my '03.5 sedan the minimum thickness of the front and rear rotors are 22mm and 14mm respectively. If your rotors have enough meat left, then take them in to get resurfaced. Otherwise, replace with new rotors.
