Brembo Brakes-Confused

Dear Forum,

As some of you may have read I have to replace my rear brake pads and front and back rotors.

I want slotted/drilled rotors, but I am wondering if I have to use Brembo rotors and pads with my brembo brake system.

I have been shopping for various replacement parts, but did not know if mixing and matching pads and rotors would cause any damage.

Any feedback is appreciated.

i'm looking for new rotors as well, you can get brembo size rotors on most of the sponsors sites here and some have ceramic pads that fit the brembo calipers also but i've heard they do not bite as well as the brembo pads.

You don't have to get Brembo rotors and pads, you could different aftermarket rotor and pads that would fit. (Ex. DBA, Stillen, Powerslot rotors, or Project Mu, Hawk Pads) Also replace the front pads at the same time, and bleed your brake system.

Also I would look into Stainless Steel Brake Lines.

the pads for g35 are just known to be either brembo or non brembo....all aftermarket pads are the companies own pad just the size that you need for the brembos....they are just referred to if they will fit the brembo calipers..

hope that clears up you question.....

i hear people praising hawks and i think thats what i am about to put on mine...

I know this sounds stupid but I just got new brakes and re-surfaced my rotors... I wanted Hawks but my mechanic (has a M of his own) said that he had to use the factory brake pads because the Hawks wouldnt fit. Is this because the model I have is so new that there are no aftermarket parts for it? And if not does anyone know what else I can use.
