help installing strut bar

hey guys i bought a NRG strut bar v1 from another member and am having a little difficulty installing the bar. It feels like its too short, and for the life of me, i can't get it to fit in on one side. like i have the bases installed on both sides, but it feels like the bar is too short and cannot attach to both side. tips? any help please!

you need to use something to bend it into place. Use the handle of a wrench between the end of the bar and the inside of the base to pry it into place.

do you mean pry it on one side so the other side can stretch more and align with the hole? because what i'm doing now is putting one side of the bar in and putting a bolt through it. but when i go to the other side, the end of the bar doesn't reach the holes so i can't put a bolt through that side. i know it has to fit since this bar was previously installed by two other owners. i hope its not just my car being the odd ball..

I just put on a V2 last night, it was a pita!, just keep working at it, I had the hardest time getting the second bolt through, it messed up the threads a little too. Make sure you set it as low as possible, mine was hitting the hood a little
