New to the G family what coilovers shoud I get?

Well I just picked up an 05 G35 Coupe today. I am going to put coilovers on it but Im not sure which to get. I read through the sticky thread but couldn't find the info I needed. I want something that is comfortable but also turbo ready as that will be next on my list of things to do. Anyone have any suggestions? I really dont want to spend over 2k on them and would like to keep it to atlease 1.5k.

Thanks

.. hahaha...

OP, there is no such thing as coilovers that are turbo-ready. All springs/coilovers will be able to handle a turbo.

All kidding aside, do you need the adjustability of the coilovers? If not, I'd suggest getting a set of springs and shocks/struts. Otherwise, Tein coilovers are pretty popular on here, as are BC coilovers.

Good luck finding what you need.

I'm sure others will chime in with more information.

^BC is FAR from the best. Don't give false info. I will agree that BC is one of if the not the best bang for your buck coils, but def. not the best!

I wasnt trying to say turbo ready coils and sorry if I worded it wrong. I wasnt sure if I sould get a stiffer setup or if a soft setup would be better once the car was FI. I have used tein coilovers before so I will prob stick with those. Im looking at the Tein Flex, any feedback on these?

THMotorsports has a killer deal on KW Variant 3
https://g35driver.com/forums/suspens...ng-______.html

I'm seriously considering it - I wish I hadnt just bought D-Specs.

Anyone local in So Cal that wants D-Specs with less than 1K miles and Eibach Pro springs, let me know.

Im on Tein Flex's and have absolutely no complaints. They are great on the street and great on the track. You wont have any regrets

TEIN are $hit. Overhyped by themselves.

Go for a real tuning company. Get KW variant 2 or 3.

Another coilover to consider is the new HKS Hipermax III. They are getting great reviews, and have the option to get either the street version or the sport, depending if ur G is more of a DD, or for track use.

the trick is finding a good balance for both... not always an easy task.

it all depends on what you want to do with the coilovers, dump the car, track it, and then go from there, if u want to turbo ur car later, i doubt ur gonna wanna dump it, so dont go with BC, thats what they r mainly for, go for something of a higher brand
