^ So in my case, if I got different shocks, lets say Tokico HPs, would that help with the issue that I'm having? What would you recommend I do?

What springs are you using?

Well, I found a thread for a sedan where a guy used the same shocks with an H&R setup so I said **** it and ordered the shocks just now with a front camber kit so we will see how that works out. Please give me your input still when you get a chance :-)

Check and make sure that the following Tokico part numbers are what you ordered.

Front: HU3742 & HU3743
Rear: HE3744 (x2)

If not, get them to change the order to those numbers.

They are for the 350Z Tokico HP, in your case I would not pony up money on the risk that the different part numbers associated with the G35 HP's could possibly deliver softer valving or worse, taller shock bodies with longer piston rod lengths.

Do I think they will be a solution? I'd feel better if you had a different spring, like 350Z H-techs, though even then at 358/375 they aren't that much stiffer then what your running now. We simply don't know how the HP is valved. To that end, if you were willing, you can send me a single front and rear shock and I can dyno them for free and return them to you, LMK.

Your choice of spring, even though they offer a mild .6/.3 drop, aren't helping with spring rates that are only 10lbs stiffer in the front and softer then oem in the rear, especially if your coupe has the sport supension's 427lbs oem rear springs.
Tein H-tech G35 coupe spring rates 324/260 I can pretty much gurantee you that the H&R springs are stiffer then that, though we only know the 350Z H&R spring rates.

The car that I had, as I found out last night, belonged to one of the members on here, and they are 350Z H Techs. I'll call the company I ordered the shocks from and see which ones I am getting.

pay $100 more and get yourself a set of BC sports coilovers. They are wonderful and incredibly economically efficient. Do some research....

you are one of the few that has stuck with tein. The teins for the G35 and 350z are notoriously bad, and that was one of the big things at sema that people came up to the BC booth stating.

Wow, you seem to make a lot of unjustified claims. There are more people on this forum with Tein than any others.

How are they "notoriously bad"?

did this thread get anywhere? I'm also looking at affordable coilover options, and as much as I'd love to get a set of Teins with EDFC, i'm a poor college student and can't afford such a large investment right now. My questions are as follows: 1, are the Megans any good, are people using them without any problems. 2, would I need a camber kit if I put on the megans? 3. What else would you recommend within that budget range that gives me good adjustability and ride quality, don't want it too stiff or too low, but want a nicer stance and better handling.

coilovers + camber kits + alignment if you dont have money for those, just save up dont cheap out

as for what coilovers i suggest doing some HEAVY searching this way you will learn more about what you want

there are bc racing, function and forms 2, the whole tein line, the whole JIC line
