The ABS, Slip and VDC light came on a few weeks ago on my 2006 Infiniti G35X. When I shut the car off, the ABS motor continued to run. Took it to dealer and when they turned car off and back on again, lights went out and ABS motor stopped. They were not able to diagnose problem. I drove car home and this problem has not recurred for over 3 weeks. If this happens again, I would like to disconnect ABS system so I can get car into dealer to check it out. Question, how can I disable the ABS system without impacting something else? I have researched and found that there is a 10 AMP fuse #82 in engine compartment but according to Service Manual this also controls AWD. Is there a way to temporarily disable the ABS system? I know that others have done this for off road racing but I have not figured out a quick way to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Car is out of warranty.
