Issue: Ok, I was doing a brake job on my 2003 coupe w/ OEM Brembos.
I got to the part where you take out the brake pads, and they didn't seem to want to come out as easily as I've seen them in a DIY video on infinitihelp.com. I noticed a SINGLE BOLT (was painted orange at the tip), that was bolted to the rotor. Now this isn't of course the FIVE bolts that are exposed once you take off the WHEEL LUGS and then the WHEEL itself. I'm talking a SIXTH SMALLER single bolt that is attached directly to the rotor.
I tried to loosen this bolt to see if it would allow the rotor some 'play' in order to shimmy the pads loose easier, and the $*$*&# snapped in two.
Question: What is this bolt for and what is the DANGER of driving the car to a shop with this bolt broken?
Thanks in advance guys!
