Stillen installed mine and set them a MED, that's the hole in the center.... That works fine for me and setting it too
tight can upset the balance of your car....mess with it and find the
setting you feel good about!

Setting sway bar position
To properly set your new sway bars you will have to know what type of handling characteristics you desire from your vehicle. Your new
sway bars have 3 positions you can place the end links at. The hole closest to the end of the sway bar is the softest setting having the
least amount of change from your stock bars. The hole furthest away is the stiffest setting and will be the maximum amount of change
available from stock. We recommend the middle position on both bars as an ideal starting point.
set it at stiff and enjoy linky

What don't you understand about:

The hole closest to the end of the sway bar is the softest setting having the
least amount of change from your stock bars. The hole furthest away is the stiffest setting.
In your picture, #3 would be the hole closest to the end of the sway bar...aka the softest...and #1 would be the hole furthest away from the end...aka the stiffest.

That's how I took it but wanted to be sure.

They should just number it like I did.

If you just think about it for a little bit, it'll make sense.

Think of a piece of string(Sway Bar) you're holding with your hands (Endlinks). The hands do not move, same position all the time.

If you held it in the first position, it would be tout. If you held the second position (ie more string length between hands but same span) it would be a little looser. If you held in the third position, it would be like a noodle. The disance between your hands always stays the same, but the string size changes.

I'm tired- hope that makes sense. That's how I figured it out.

On my way to work I take some small back roads where I know I'll get greens all the way cause I'm lazy, and they are uneven and bumpy so at first it felt like it was too much but like I said now I'm used to it and I love it set at hard.
