How do you guys adjust rear dampening?

Most shocks in the rear have a dampening adjustment at the top of the rear shock. This area seems to be inaccessible once the shock is installed. As far as i know only Tein has EDFC where you can adjust dampening in the rear.

For brands other than tein, how do you guys get to the top of the rear shock to adjust dampening without dropping the entire thing out? I am thinking about drilling some holes back there to see if i can get the allen wrench in.

Has anybody attempted this with any success?

Thanks!

if you have reclinable sets push them forward theres a carpet thing that covers it but its only connect by velcro take that off and you should be able to access if from there thats how i access mine btw the dampening controll is going to be covered by a round black rubber piece just take it off and it'll be under there.

dampening ***** are located on the side. You just reach into the wheel/wheel well and turn.

hmm, dampening ***** are on the top for sure... if you have kw v3, other adjustments might be on the side. could that be what you are referring to?

true bc coilovers do come with the extensions but i dont even need them when you recline the rear seats forward if that makes any sense you can reach them perfectly.

Tanabe has a controller too. Much more advanced than the EDFC.

JICs are adjustable from the bottom.
