Hotchkis Sways and an 06+ G35, take a look!

Hey guys,

well I just installed a set of Hotchkis Sways (4 hole front version) on my 06 6MT Coupe. Only suspension mods are a full set of 2008 springs and struts from my buddies 350Z. (Dropped the car exactly 1/2") and rides like stock.

Heres my question:

The front has 4 holes. The instructions state to use the firmest setting. Which on the older sways was the 3rd hole, not the 4th. Well I have an 06 with the sport suspension.

Now here is where it gets tricky. THe 4th hole will put me at 78% stiffer than stock on my year/model coupe.

On the older G35s 05 and lower that hole will be like 129% stiffer.

So, when I put the endlink in the 4th hole, it looks TERRIBLE. Meaning the angle at which the endlink sits. it is very contorted. I would really like to use it on the 4th hole, but I am afraid it will snap the endlink. Dont get me wrong, it fits and bolts up just fine. However it just looks pretty stressful on the endlink.

What hole are you guys running for the front?

THanks guys!

I have a similar setup on my 06 sedan. Have the front sway bar on the 3rd hole and the rear on the 2nd hole. The car is very well balanced!

The front looked very stressed in 4th hole in my car too. Keep in mind that the 3rd hole still puts significant pressure on the stock endlinks. I had a front endlink go bad so I wouldn't go to the 4th hole w/o getting aftermarket endlinks. Also, keep in mind that you'll be more prone to understeer with a stiffer front setting unless you stiffen up the back as well.
