HPS or HP Plus?

I've run through a set of HPS and trying to decide if I should get HP Plus next. I'm pretty happy with HPSs, but they were a bit noisy on the street and faded on the track (after they were 50% worn).

Curious if anyone tried HPS and HP Plus side by side?

I have stock lines and rotors, and use ATE super blue fluid. I drive mostly on the street and about 6-8 track days a year. Is it worth upgrading to HP Plus (or any other pad)?

I personally would just stick with the HPS for street use and get a dedicated track pad for your track ventures. Doing this will extend the life of both sets of pads.

I still enjoy my HPS for daily use or spirited runs. I have a second set of HP+ pads I got a sweet deal on, but I have not used them yet.

When pads are half worn the hot rotor get 4mm closer to caliper so more fade is to be expected vs brand new [9mm thick material] where there is more insulative thickness.

I've been toying with this idea as well...any particular track pads you'd recommend? I haven't been able to find too many track pads for the non-brembo G.

Good point. They started to fade when they had about 4mm left. The track (Summit Point Shenandoah) is brutal on the brakes too which made it that much worse.

I would look into the big brands like Porterfield, Carbotech, Hawk (race pads beyond HP+), Ferodo, and even Nismo R-tune's if they make them for the 06.

I've been thinking about getting a dedicated set of track pads eventually as well. My question though is how does this affect the bedding in process? Do you have to bed the brake pads in each time you switch?
