Hope I didn't mess up...

I was doing my front brakes today, all was well.. my new pads that I recieved, didn't have the silencer with them, so I used the ones from the old pads... (The other silver plate looking thing that attatches to pads) I however, forgot to put on all 4. I put on 2, 1 on each side... on the inside brake pad.

So the outside pads don't have the silencer on... My brakes work perfect though.. But what do you guys think? Could it potentially damage the brake pads if I don't put them on?

It might actually be unsafe. But, I mean the pads already have a solid back to them.

I think you should go to the dealer, buy a front brake pad shim kit, and install it.
