Tein S-Tech Question *confused*

Hey All,

I currently have Tein G35 S-tech's installed on my car. My question is, If i got the Tein 350Z S-tech's, would it lower my car more? I did use the search feature before asking this question. The reason I'm still unsure is because the specs stickky does say that "NOTE!: Any aftermarket 350Z spring will lower a coupe a additional ½” over and beyond the published drop amount for the 350Z.

The published drop amount for the 350Z S-Techs are .7" Front/ and .6" Rear. So 1/2" over the published amount would be 1.2" Front / and 1.1" Rear.

However, the published amount for the G35 Tein S tech's are 1.2" Front/ and 0.9" Rear.

So based on this information it seems that the front drop on a G coupe would be the exact same, both 1.2", whether it's the 350Z Stech or G35 Stech.

Is this true? I would just like some clarification on this. I just want to drop my fronts a bit lower and was wondering If i switched to the 350Z Stech, would this be accomplished. Thanks Guys.

Yep, It will be the same (drop in the front). O, and you will need a camber kit for the rear with the 350Z or the G35 S-Tech's. So keep that in mind.

I just bought the same springs based on recommendations from EverythingG (g35 S Tech). My only question, if the drops are the same, why are there so many more Gs dropped on 350z S Techs than G35 S Techs?

I am pleased with my drop in the front, but I thought the rear would be a pinch lower.

Understood. So the 350z S Techs will give the car a more even drop?

Yes, the 350Z S-Techs drop the car a little more than the G35 S-Techs.

IMO, if you are going with Tein springs, the 350Z S-Techs are the way to go.

Yep. I loved my 350Z S-Tech, Tokico D Spec Combo. They are stiffer, but not too stiff.

Quick question. 3-4 weeks after replacing my rear g35 S Techs with z S Techs I started noticing squeaks coming from rear on small bumps, turns, etc. I took it back to the shop that installed and they believe the squeaks are coming from coil binding pointing out the top coil and its closeness to the next coil.

Any thoughts or problems alike and resolutions would be great. I like the look and feel but can't take the noise. My coupe is a 07 with sport/performance pkg.

Thanks Gs

whats the verdict on tokico shocks (either dpecs or HPs) and 350Z Stechs do for alignment?

I know you would need a rear camber kit but would a front camber kit be neccessary to get things back into spec ??

specified range for front camber is -1.2 to +0.3.

I'm dropped on 350z s-techs and infiniti dealer alignment sheet has me at -1.6 in the front with stock non camber adjusting arms. In the red but not by much and i can totally live with it.

Rear with ichiba camber kit I am -1.5. all green.
