Brake job on 04' sedan

I'm in the process of do a brake job on my 2004 G35 sedan. I took the rotors to have them turned & they say they can't do them b/c the rotors a too thin. (the rotors are smooth, I just like to turn them when I do a brake job) So, I'm looking for suggestions on what direction to go. 1) Put the pads on without turning the rotors, & do a complete service on the next brake job. 2) Wait a week til my buddy gets back from vacation & have him turn them. 3) Go ahead & buy new rotors. ...which leads to: what's a good set of rotors? Are the ones on eBay any good?

...Is there a nice upgrade for my sedan?

Rotors being too thin to have them turned mean they are below the minimum thickness and should be replaced soon. There are many upgrade options for rotors. Check out these two sites below for your rotor shopping needs:

If a shop wouldn't turn them because they aren't within spec, I wouldn't have your buddy turn them. Depending on how thin they are, you could have heat dissipation issues (or worse) and they'll be more prone to warping. A few years until your next brake service is a long time to shudder down the street... I'd go with new ones. Check out some of the vendors that sponsor the site, they usually have great prices.
