what to get shock/spring or coilovers
#3
Since you mention it is going to be DD and Track usage, Dspec is good enough. Unless you plan to do 80% track and 20% DD and want the epic slammage look.
Tokico Dspecs are really good shocks, they do the job if you are not too crazy about coilovers. Just search it on G, I am sure someone here made a review about them.

1.Are you looking to stay within stock class?
2, Are you looking to stay on the car's stock springs?
3. Related to the above question, coupe or sedan?
4. Sedan, do you have the sport suspension?
5. Coupe, what year is the car and what oem tire and wheel size was it delivered on?
6. If your not looking to keep the stock springs, what is the min and max amount of lowering you wish to stay within?
D-specs are a improvement over all oem shocks, had the pleasure of driving two sedan's that had them installed on oem springs and oem 04 coupe springs. However, if you willing to give up a bit of DD freeway smoothness, you will be better served for your non DD driving by Koni shocks. Reason is, what makes the freeway driving a little less smooth, is what makes them a better choice for autocross and track duty. I have owned the shocks, had them dyno'd and tested them with a variety of spring rate combo's.
Please answer the question's above, we can go from their.
