04 G35 coupe brakes
Hi guys
, I'm new to this forum and wanted to say that so far you guys seem to know your stuff, so that really puts me at ease. Right now i own a 2006 scion tc and wanted to upgrade to a 2004 g35 coupe, and was hoping you guys could steer me in the right direction ![Smilie](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I've read up on all the problems concerning the brake setup and its a potential dealbreaker. I wanted to know for certain if the problem lied with the pads or the rotors (or both), and if swapping them with aftermarket parts would fix the problem? Since most of you guys have experience with this stuff it would be great if you could recommend me some pads and rotors (either or) for daily driving but good bite. Also i read that someone had replaced the 04 rotors with the larger 05-06 rotors, I wanted to know if that would be possible with aftermarket oem rotors designed for the 05-06's?
FYI changing the components by hand is certainly not a problem, I always did regular maintenance on my tC (to avoid the stealerships), and havent had any problems since.
Thanks alot guys

I changed my brake pads just after I bought my car. The stock brakes made TONS of dust on the front area of car and they squeaked.
I did some research and everyone had an opinion on the best brakes. I bought NAPA's Adaptive One brakes. No dust, no squeaks and they stop great. My old stock pads were not worn in the least, so I didn't experience the problem some had. My rotors were fine as well.
I just hated the squeak and the brake dust was unreal.
