rotor/pad upgrade for 05 Sedan Sport ?

Been searching but not a lot of great info.

I tracked my G35 one day last year and heated the brakes up a lot to the point where they made some serious horrid noises. after cooling it was back to normal but now it feels like they are warped. Not sure if that or pad deposits.

In any case I wouldn't mind upgrading to something better. Recommendations on a good rotor/pad setup for the street?

What about for occasional track use?

What about for a lot of track use(after some suspension upgrades too) ?

I'd like the best bag for the buck but would also like opinions on the best overall and best cheap ones.

Thanks!

Take a look at the DBA (Disc Brake Australia) Series 4000 drilled and slotted rotors as well as the Hawk HPS or Nismo brake pads. High quality drilled rotors have chamfered holes to reduce the possibility of brake noise when the pads make contact with the rotor.

The prob is the stock pads. They transfer easily to the rotors. Get the rotors hot and sit on the brakes at a stop for a min or two and you'll deposit friction material. This is why the 05-06 rotors are prone to warping.

The rotors are fine, i would stick with solid plain rotors. They cool better than drilled rotors because they contain more mass and surface area. Drilling holes into rotors is more for aggressive pads which outgas during heavy braking. They do nothing for cooling. Brake cooling ducts might be a worthwhile investment to help cool the brakes at speed. Direct the air into the center hat area of the backside of the rotor and centrifigal force will pull it through the center vanes of the rotor which is how brake rotors are cooled.

Ad for pad selection, it mainly depends on what you are doing with the car. A lot of aggressive pads work well only with hot, and don't function at cold temps like typical street driving. You;ll need to do research here.

Surefire ways to improve braking are to reduce heat (more massive rotors) or increase clamping force (larger calipers) or increase braking leverage as to require less clamping force (larger diameter rotors). Changing rotors and pads can only take you so far. If you need that much more performance...look into a BBK

I would go with slotted rotors over solid any day.

As for pads: Hawk, Project mu, EBC and many others make good street /semi track pads.

I personally wouldn't, but that's my opinion.

When i go autocrossing in my other car, i use hawk pads with Brembo solid rotors. However when i'm cruising around on the street, i have a set of zinc'ed Xdrilled rotors mainly just for looks with OEM pads.
