Arrow Staggered rotor setup

Is it alright if I have different front to rear rotors? (Whether they be slotted or drilled, or even different brands) Brake pads too, will of course be different. I plan on keeping my fronts OEM, and swapping the rears with aftermarket. Car is an '04 Coupe w/ Brembo's.

It's not ideal, as you can impact the front/rear brake bias slightly, especially with different pad compounds (friction coefficients), but likely it won't have a big effect. If the pads have similar friction coefficients, you won't notice any difference, but if the rears are higher temp pads (like Hawk HPS, for example), your fronts will do a bit more work, especially in the cold and wet weather, and might wear out faster.

This is done on purpose for racers using the OEM brembos. When first out to market people noticed with equal rotor and pad setups front to rear they were burning through the rear pads, so you'd see a lot of people run plain faced rotors out back with more aggressive pads which shifted the bais/work up front giving the brembo system a more balanced pad wear.

So like G35fromPA said, it can't really hurt. I have different pads front to rear now and for daily driving I can't tell a difference other than brake dust.
